but he evidently could see no reason for anxiety on my part - at any rate they all drove away leaving one of K's dogs behind. It is keeping me company with its lonely howling - Perhaps K left him to ward off any stalking bear but I kept my rifle too. I wish that my thermometer had not gotten broken for I should like to know the temperature. Now sitting on a box in the sunshine on the lee side (W) of the tent writing the landed, but that it is not a very warm day is evidenced by the ice forming on the face roll of my nettle - Not a cloud to be seen, and I wonder if the good April weather like that of last year, year before +1914 too has begun. This would be a fine trip, were it not for the deep snow on the ice - But that makes me wonder whether I shall be able to go on through or not. This now I gave each man a package of smoking tobacco though no one had hunted being out of it and Kolooting was friendly says that he has lots of his own. Men returned at 7 oel + seem quite fine for the hot tea + erbsen - any soup that I had ready for them - They thanks me.
