Upper end of valley is a box canyon in summer - now partly filled with great drift which enabled us to get on one side. Very little walking - came out in valley between promontory & main cap descended [illegible] & then down a glacier into northern part Booth Sound came down onto sea ice at 3-30 & stopped for about 2 hrs to rest. dogs have tea + biscuit and po- lish in manner. Fitz Clarence Rock imposing near Poolbag new entrance to Sound learned that Peter had not arrived at or Rasmussen left Osmanaa.
