Totah may 14 1917 on at 7 49 off at 8 14 no shock working well but worked off the drum a little too soon so that the lower roller slipped and may 15 on at 8.16 on account of the ice around melting and dripping on the kymograph it is not running well the ice formed ice slugs or shut off the Battery, have removed the tent and then taken off all the front clingers to the roof but later found it best to put sheets of tin up to prevent further dripping have put on 3 papers today the last at 10 15 pm and now have put the Kerosene stove back on to dry off the instrument.
