above disconformity. Morrison contact fairly well-defined 2" type Cloucrly by presence of chert pebble (dom, gray + black) cql. Although this locally pinches out, Below this cql section varies, may be due to 12th change or depth incision. At loc #2 bed below are gray clsty + grade into red clstn below, but just across badlands st on hill due west small butte at #2 the cql rests on [red] clstus with typical Morrison limestone. This appears here to be a lateral gradation. Be on lookout for possible relation between type of beds in upper Morrison + nature of overlying Cloucrly SS. Here thicker SS but not as coarsely or much cql over gray Morrison but thin coarse cql over red. May be local only but at Theramop, #1+"2 under thick coarse Cloucrly is black clsty with plants (yczcl leaves) at to Morrison. And in Black hills similar setup locally. 63
