Thermopolis #1 - Side bogbeck Cloverly, first N of town along old highway bed, meets new highway at #2 below Here the Morrison + 200 with lower 135't massive x-fm fine gr ss which grades upward into siltstone and then silty clstn, whole monotonous to Is or other typical Morrison lith. Color greenish gray. Appears to grade down into Sundance ss but is a fairly sharp break on bedding differences & appearance glauconite in ss. (photos) 7427 Thermopolis #2 (photos) Road cut 2.8 miles N, Thermopolis, on U.S. 20. (from State Park En.) Starting 3'N of Cloverly - Morrison contact low Slope wzsh. 1.0 Siltstone, dk gray, x-fm, ssudy, some fine-grained ss. Coab flecks. 2.0 Shzlc, silty and siltstone, splintery fracture, dk gray carb. flecks. with plant frags look like cycad leaflets. Presumed Morrison contact. 72.0 Sandstone, massive lenticular ss forming ledge. Fine to 57
