I saw a bird Flush from there (@ 1000), and there is a nice hole up there. I set up a blind for spying nearby. 26 Apr 0730 Bird in hole! In the upper barn hole! 0930 Climbed & cut open hole. 1 Fresh egg! #1 1800 Put in poles beside lab platform Feeder. Roost watch: nada. Are there really 4 birds here? 6 May 1530 Checked nest: 4 eggs, 1 of them is infertile. 9 May pm nest watch. Val sees bird bringing Food. 11 May 1815 RL=13, LL=9.6, RW=4.7, LW=4.4. These latter two are starving runts from LPHF. Plge has an egg pipping = egg wt = 5.3 - 1 (shell) = 4.3 g. 13 May 1700 RL=21.6(9)=Mv, LL=19.6(8.5)=LB, RW=11.2, r=4.5 30 May 1800 Put in 2 M. Lewis. 1 June 0700 Bad news and more bad news. Arrived to find LB on ground but in OK shape. I took him up to the nest, where M. lewis (white) was dead, as was ACW Mv. I took out the dead, put in LB or left. So there's 3 chicks in there for today's nest watch. Mv: 80g, 21.4 bill, 32, 65, 20, 40 (2nd 10 small) 1100 Banded 2 ACW's 17 June 1700 Have been seeing M. lewis here for a couple days, but just now saw 2 here. Who is it? 6 Sept Have been helloing nest hole (r others) for several days (nada) 0630-0700 Sortof watched here - no real hints
