I dropped my pen so I was unable to Freshen the paint on some (most) of the babies. 14 May Roosting in nest tree (downhill?) and in a snaggy tree E to W 15 May 1225 I checked the snaggy tree r Found no holes. I think the "downhill" hole in the nest tree is actually in the middle of the tree, Facing E. Even as I stand here, crows are hanging on the granary pulling out dog food. 18 May 0850-1150 Nest ambush! Caught 1966, put in T (2 tubes) I hope it stays in. When 1962 went in I pulled r it got stuck on back right by the hole. 1962 flushed out, but 1613 went right in! Crows + Cooper's hawk harassed the ACW's all morning 1962 Finally went in (see cap rec) + we put in 2 empty tubes. 1966 = purple, 1962 = green. Saw all birds at MPHF 1200 C=28.4 (11.8), R=42.6 (13.6), LG=38.9 (13.1) Y=33.4 (12.2), B=39.5 (13.9), W=28.4 (11.4). Adults Fed dog food early on, then insects. 25 May Nest ambush! After 1 hr 15 min (started 0800) The 2 Females fed like gangbusters, 1613 Finally got cranked up, 1780 visited alot. No sign of 1966, 1962. 1615 Finally showed up + we nabbed him. Bleed + put in control implant. 26 May 0842 After 1 Feed + 30 min (start 0810), caught 1613. T.
