Banded 4, plasma From all others Face 4 not painted, 1808 = pink, 1285 = yellow, 1647 = blue Took 1285 r 1647 to Dr Murray For laps (0945-1015) 1285: large testis, well developed vas deferens 1647: testis not as large, but v.d. well devel Released both birds back at UPHF at 1100. There was some activity here - hopefully 1285 + 1647 will whip thing back into shape. 9 May Walt reports bird in hole at top of next canon 10 May 1430 Climb, 3 Fresh eggs. Didn't cut. Instead put up a blind (very close - tried to camouflage w branches I had to cut to get a clear view) and did a watch. Hey, this limb is very dead. I'm not sure I want to be hanging under it when I saw it open. Walt, did you climb this? 12 May Walt cut open the hole - eggs not Fresh, Clutch = 3 Val watched roosting or no birds roosted in trad tree 14 May Still not roosting in trad tree. 15 May 1230 Looked for other holes in nest tree - there's just 1 small ugly one. Hmm. Checked nest - still not hatched 18 May 1200 Still not hatched! At least I didn't hear any. 20 May Walt reports big babies here (14g). Was it dusk? 25 May 1020 SE = 40, R = 36.5, egg still there. Set ambush. 27 May Nest ambush. Start 0830. Caught 1285 at 0856. T implant.
