1992 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus OKCO HNHR 22 May 0900 Arrive, no one in hole. Climb. Eggs cold. Abandon. Took eggs, removed ambusher. I don't understand. It was a very inconspicuous door and ambusher. Took eggs to lab + opened, one chick had died early on, the other after I cut the hole. Put in nunc tubes. 11 June 1020 Put a platform w Food on the Fence 16 June 1930 After much Fuss I set an ambusher on the nest hole (I peeped it; empty r had some junk in it). Jim had mentioned birds roosting in the sycamore snag the other night, so I went over to check it out. On arrival a bird flushed with a big bug in its bill. Hmm. Nest?? or just coincidence. I helld but saw/heard nothing. Several holes around but none looked good. I spied on the tree From 1900-1920 but no one came to it. I then went back + watched at the ambush hole. No one even checked it out, though I bird roosted in the 'holy' tree to the S of the nest tree. C'est la vie. Looks like no lapping tomorrow. 4 Aug 0900 Put out dog Food.
