Formicivorus CV1 HNHR (7 Sept) Babies cold, RL = 15.4, LL = 14.5, RW = 7.9, r = 3.25 (took) [Runt became ID # 2144 (tissue sample), Remains into formalin] 1605 Walking by the windmill I hear a scream (ACW) right behind me, A Cooper's hawk (? small) has an ACW, Hawk doesn't have a good hold r l chase them as they approach the ground. They hit r separate, Woodpecker flies off fine, but Cooper's goes after him again, I scream r flail some more and they head in separate directions. So... alarm calls do attract larger predators (me). All this was 1/2 hr after I watched an eagle catch r eat a ground squirrel. 8 Sept 1610 Same place... a Cooper's uses me to flush quail
