(LG fallen out?) 31 May 0900 Put 3 M. lewis into nest (got a string up) 11 June Val does morning watch here & sees 3 awc kids. When I walk up I see ACW savagely beating up a M. lewis chick. It even chased it to beat it again. No platform yet - they like their feeders. 13 June Put a platform w food on the fence 4 Aug 0950 Think I saw 7 - [illegible]. Val reports strange birds here with the regulars. One is 7 1826, who returns after a lengthy absence. 1/3 of a live oak came down near the granary since I left. Put out dog food. Saw 1042. Some live oaks here have lots of acorns. 5 Aug 1220 Platform empty. Added Food. 6 Sept 1530-1535 Watched... r saw a bird go to the hole (+ in) in the traditional tree (the low hole) Nest! Not having equipment, I Free climb. Bird flushes or all is silent (ear to hole ... nothing). Eggs! (?) (fed food) 7 Sept 1430 4 opaque eggs (peeped) Roost watch: 40 birds into fence hole, 1 in hole across val, 12 Sept 1230 RL=7.8, LL=4.5, RW=5.3, LW=8.0 (skip reach m) Est hat: "6.6 4.5 5.0 6.9" NOBA jaw feeding! Is it LG?
