Eventually caught 2188 as he blundered in while flycatching. Bled, lapped back at Hastings. He's now cooling his heels in a cage w/ 2157. 1700 Damn, Walt tells me that 2188 is dead (+ that he didn't look good back earlier in the afternoon after his lap). Was it the lap, the loss of blood (he gushed), or being in a tiny cage with a strange (?) bird. I'm sorry 2188. I didn't want it to be this way. 4 May 0700 Some action. Immediately caught NOBA ♂. MMLB WCBW ♂, NOBA ♂?, NOBA ♂ present. The 2 birds most seen together are the banded ♂ wBBW + NOBA ♂ 0830 Another NOBA ♂ caught 1015 There was another good intrusion bout earlier, but it's dead now, so we pack it in. (NOBA♂+wBBW♂) 5 May 0645 Some action. Stayed til 1100. Caught 7 birds! 2 ♂ (NOBA), 4 NOBA ♂?, - pink ♂ From yesterday. Most of this action occurred kinda all at once. Brought ♂♂ back for laps. Went well. Released back at Rant. Flew Fine. 6 May 0730-1115 Caught 5 ♂, 2 ♂. Brought ♂♂ back for laps. At morning's end one of the lapped ♂ From yesterday was in control!
