Gave " " (there are still some left From 0700) 3 Apr 0700 LW=5.9, LL=4.8, B=6.9 Happy Easter ! 1500 Remarked all 3 , gave Full mealworms (empty) 4 Apr 0630 Fed + remarked. Fed again 1300, 1700. Looked Fine 7 Apr 0600 Fed mealworms (as I did yesterday), but one of the babies is dead (LL). I took out his heart + put it in lysis buffer (now #2345). He wasn't super-Fresh, but he wasn't too rusty either. Thoracic cavity in good shape (though gut was beginning to turn). 0930-1130 Video nest watch 12 Apr 0745-0810 Bleed all 5 birds (+ repainted). Although 1785 was not seen incubating, he is always to be Found brooding the chicks. However, this could be due to the fact that he is going lame in his left wing + knows better than to flush. This is a bit worrisome as I bleed left wings. Upon release he Flew very poorly. Babies doing Fine. Today I put methanol on all the blood smears.
