3-4 Mar Started giving them acorns. Gave them a new
nest log, took out an old log.
5 Mar Still no interest in widening hole in log enough
to look inside (I must admit, it's sorta damp
or yucky inside) Starting trapping mice today (2)
8 Mar Some Fresh chips (I think). Still no interest in log (new)
9 Mar 1500 Started mealworms. Gave 'em back an old log (hole)
Moved the new log under roof - took off lid to
let it dry (still yucky)
13 Mar 0817-0837 Bled all 5 birds. Got extra blood to do
thaw exp For 3 (?) of them (see cap rec) 1783,1785,1787

14 Mar Took 'em their daily mealworms - noticed they hadn't
touched yesterdays acorns.
18 Mar 1st eggs !! Marked. Walt will mark subseq eggs,
22 Mar 0830 No 5th egg. 4 warm eggs. (I gave a full)
(2x normal) helping of mealworms. They got no
worms yesterday.
23 Mar 1100 Dog my cats! A 5th egg ! It's probably safe
to assume it was laid after 0830 yesterday, but....
26 Mar egg 1: 27.45 x 20.3, 2: 27.1 x 20.05, 3: 28.4 x 19.9,
4: 26.8 x 20.15, 5: 27.35 x 20.2. Starting to develop
27 Mar 0900-0925 Bled all 5 birds. Painted: 1783=K strip, 1785=
grn solid, 1787=no head put, grn rump, 1789=pnk sol, 2127=strip
29 Mar 1130-1330 Video nest watch (see back of page). 1785=0
1789=71 min, 1783=4.5, 2127=35, 1787=16. All eggs Fertile
31 Mar 1130 Nobody hatched yet. Gave double mealworm dose.
