22 May Jeremy Finds nest! With big babies! He does a
watch while I take Kout bird down For lap.
I return w climbing gear r open the paper
thin nest. 4 jumpy babies. Band, bleed, r
put hole together with rubber bands (diam
of nest limb @ > inches !) There's a NOBA
g here & several Al g's. The nest is near
edge of woods up From A1 toward summit.
25 May Walt set an ambush at the snag hole in gran last
night, Katy saw 3 birds go in. We come out
this am, I pull string, it breaks. Damn.
But I don't hear birds Flushing.
Roost watch: Katy sees 2 birds in at same
hole (Walt had reset ambush). Will try in a.m.
26 May Ambush! Pull string at 0335. Katy overslept so
I'm solo. Caught BM 2262, the NOBA BF (now
2462 ... yea!) and... BM 2165 From Kout!
I know he's From here, but it's still strange.
His lap/implant doesn't look good (all yellow, etc).
He weighed 77, but now I forget if that was
with or without the 3.5g hood (his pre-lap weight
was 77). lapped 2262 in Field. Bad view. Damn.
