1994 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus SHIL HNHR 7 Mar Roost watch. Came down to granary trees briefly, then back up hill yelling. Eventually 1-2 roosted in the old "trad" tree to E of enclosure near bottom. No one into 93 b nest. 12 Mar Walt roost watches here, reporting birds in 3 holes (SHC, trad tree, and the tree in the woods where nested fall 92). Being greedy, I decide to wait for a windfall. 14 Apr 0900 I weigh + "band" the 5 babies Walt Found yesterday. K = 18.4, LG = 17.8, DB = 14, Mv = 11.8, - = 12.3. I tied off (but didn't thread) an ambusher near the hole. Set a blincl. 17 Apr Nest ambush. Set r ready by 0730. No nest visits (but a bird in hole on arrival). I hear occasional/ garricks. So Walt, what did you mean when you said I have shitty Field notes. I beg to differ. Very slowly birds start to show. I nab 2137 - 1426 at 0920. I give them both T. Later 2208 shows (while a 9 is in!) but his bands are wrong on the Fieldlist! Damn! So I don't know to nab him! And he doesn't come back! Things very slow. Finally at 1215 2209 Feeds. Nab! Control implant. Head home to spin blood. Finally done in lab at 1530. Lunch! Oh yeah... the bastard 2209 grabs a baby r cuts it all up.
