We come r explore r Find a hole with a missing door up near the top of the hill (W of UPHF tree) There's another new (small?) hole just above it. There's also a new hole above the traditional UPHF hole (so now 4 in that tree). UPHF granary ½ full 25 Mar Hell'd holes on way to roost watch: nada. Watched the UPHF tree - lots of birds into the E Facing (hi) hole. 26 Mar Bugger all! Bloody hell! Fucking A!' I get there r Find out the door is completely grown over - and the hammer I have is so worthless the head comes loose when you use it as a hatchet. So I tear the hell out at the door (the lower - they're 2) r Finally get it open, set the ambush, get down r set... by 18:30 (too damn late). The birds are still up, but I'd been in this tree for an hour and they want nothing to do with it. Cue comes r looks in but looks at the lower door r leaves. Bugger. 27 Mar Coming over to remove ambush. Bird at trad MPHE hole. 29 Mar 0745-0800 Spied From Road. No visits to trad hole. A Few Flights uphill. Lots of starlings about. 31 Mar J roost watches r reports no activity uphill. 3 Apr 1140-1145 Spied From road. Nothin. 4 Apr 1100 Hello - nada 12 Apr 0655-0715 Spy. Some chases, no visits to holes.
