A starling went in. As I wait I notice a new looking hole Facing Hastings up at that "crappy" section. I decide not to ambush the starling, since a bird did roast in the tree (not in that upper hole though - I watched) 13 Mar 1100 Took down ambusher 23 Mar Roost watch - saw nothing. 29 Mar 0620 Hello sycamore - nothing 1 Apr 1200 " " 4 Apr Hello holes - nothin 12 Apr Walt Finds nest in old hole in granary. Limb towards road, hole Faces trunk. 13 Apr Roost watch in hopes of being able to catch HM For prolactin implants. No action at sycamore (except starling) 22 Apr 1600 Check nest. 2 hatched, didn't weigh. 27 Apr 1400 Not good. No one in hole (though I was scolded) on arrival. W = 14.6, Y = 17 - dead = 18.1 g. The 2 live ones were lethargic (though not really cold) + had skinny tarsi + pale skin. I hope they make it. Took dead For tissue 28 Apr Katy watches here this morning - reports some brooding no Feeding, and generally weird behavior. Egg #5 (?) death 1530 I check hole - Find 1 warm wiggly baby + one dead baby (yellow, the big one). Removed dead For tissue. 29 Apr 0930 Baby cold, barely alive (but Full stomach). Take to CV2.
