1994 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus GAZO H/NHR (5 Apr) Bugger. Came over to set ambush, set it, came down, a rope string made it fall (don't ask). I reclimbed, reset it on the other side (in Force 10 winds), came down. Set by 1820. 2 visits, no entries. Afterwards I mosey over to where we pole ambushed this am or see a bird inside. Manana 6 Apr Ambush! (at the low hole). Only 1 bird inside, but got a 15 min bleed, an hour bleed, a lap (2.5 Fou), r blue paint on him (BM 1808). I learned a trick; if its a bad lap (membrane covering testis), get the tiny Forceps + tear the membrane. I've tried this before, but if it works, it's great - so it's worth doing. Gee, only 2.5 For a dad BM - kinda makes me wonder if some of those other bad laps on BM might have been small. Released 6 at 0645. Flew Fine. 0845-1030 Set up net, put 9 in cage on stump. Noba 9 made lots of passes, but wouldn't get caught. Power-struggle tape didn't work. Removed ambusher.
