1994 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus Chge HNHE (15 Mar) who, I would bet, has not been seen since banding. We, pissed as we were, did not Move the Feeders. P.S. This bird was in the bottom hole PPS 3 birds showed up once it got light. 14 Apr 1000 6 Fresh eggs in the new hole just distal to the 93 hole. 4 bigger, 2 smaller. #1-2 looked newest, though I wouldn't put money on it. I checked the old uphill-facing hole r even opened it (to clear out the mouse nest) only to have a woodrat face me once I got the door out. I left him alone r replaced door. So much For my plans of catching helpers here to implant P-1. Now I'll have to catch them 1 Foot away at the 93 hole. Risky... Will return later today to set a blind. 20 Apr Oh well, there goes Chongo. Eggs removed For removal experiment. 25 Apr 0530 No pipping yet. See Joey's notes (r/or the capture recs For hatch order, etc) 26 Apr 0600 Eggs 3-6 hatched egg — pipping 29 Apr Set ambush at new (nest) hole. Starling into other hole. Joey scared them From BANX, but they didn't come over here like last night, 30 Apr Try again. No luck. Not even a starling (though one ACW roosted just downhill From blind). Took down the ambusher.
