1993 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus RANT (31 Mar) really nuts, it got dead quiet. As soon as I was done w blood (solo), I looked up to find that the 2 99 were sitting w a ♂! I figured I had caught r intruder r not a Bickerson until I checked r saw that the ♂ is Pink! 'ole' 2157 himself. After a bleed, stress series, a week in the aviary, 2 laps, + several weeks away From his granary..., he's back. Amazing! 1700 Released Bickersons after successful laps (see cap regs) One is marked blue, the other black. Females were with Pink. I released one + pink chased. Released other then 99 greeted him, but then pink came r chased him too. Fickle 99. Left after 10 min w Pink r 2 99 sitting quietly 1 April 0740 Arrived to find 99 Pr G alone in tree. A 3rd bird flew in briefly, was greeted, and then flew back across the field. I suspect ♂ Pink. Pink ♂ (2157) is the ♂ here. He is abo the only surviving ♂ in the original RANT group. So if I wait a couple weeks r catch all 3 of these birds, maybe old yeller r friends (9) will move back in and new ♂♂ (Bickersons perhaps) will have a new p.s. Kind of a shame to have just 1 BM here. 7 Apr 1315-1345. Only bird I saw was pink ♀ 1515. I drive up r 3 birds leave. 14 Apr 1045 3 birds leave when I drive up (to the Far trees)
