Birds in rout repeatedly, saw one (maybe 2) visit to the low hole in that downhill low limb. 14 Apr Roost watch: 4 birds into high hole in uphill tree ? 16 Apr Set ambush (pain) Valerie roost watch - 1 bird in 17-19 Apr Roost watch - 1 bird in 20 Apr 1600 Take down ambusher; hello holes - nada 26 Apr 0940-0955 Spied on uphill tree - nada. 28 Apr 0810-0930 Spied From shack. Nothing. One flight toward woods. Mostly Flycatching. 2 chases 16 May 0415-0500 Listened (+ watched) for birds waking up here (+: giving a nest hint). Nothing. 22 May Roost watch. 2 birds went downhill from granary (?), last bird went uphill to the hole in the uphill tree 23 May 1015-1030 Spied on "uphill" tree. Nada. 3 June 1200-1215 Spy From afar. Saw a bird Flycatch in "uphill" tree, then fly due E, apparently intersecting with the fence somewhere beyond the PO patch. 4 June 0835-0855 Spy. Nothing at all. 7 June 0945-1000 Spy in old fence tree (Val saw suspicious flush there). Saw nothing. 5 Aug The mystery is solved! Val Found nest today! Old babies? Will check tomorrow. 6 Aug 1430 The mystery is not solved. It's not a nest. There was a little grass in the bottom. Val must've been seeing housecleaning, not feeding.
