1993 M. Stanback 5 M. Formicivorus RANT 22 Mar 0830 Another day at the races. This time we brought along 2 old Rant birds (♂+♀) to entice the rascals. They would sit on the cage, but not go in. We finally let the ♀ go (2130) but she'd rather switch than fight. Put ♂ over in shade, but the new Rant birds continued to harass him, so we put up a net by the ground... and caught 2 birds! Bleed + stress series. A few intruders, but very slow. Quit at 1230.
