1993 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus RAVI HUNHR 30 Mar Finally removed the 2 active in they other cage. Also started these guys on waxworms. 11 Apr 1030 Marked egg #5, started camera, gave mealworms. The color is wearing off these guys (or the helper 9 was incubating yesterday - or the 99 aren't marked. Yikes. 12 Apr 1030 Still just 5 eggs. Th-th-thats all Folks! ½ worm 29 + 1 runt = clutch = 6! 14 Apr Gave ⅓ worms 17 Apr 1020 Egg #1 infert. Rest are OK 18 Apr 1230 Measure eggs. [illegible] #1 = 25.75 x 19.1 #2 = 26.6 x 19.9, #3 = 27.15 x 20.25, #4 = 27 x 20.55 #5 = 27.4 x 20.1, runt (already removed) 19 Apr 1400 Bleed all 5 birds (but forgot to repaint). They were nearly all gushers (esp 1783, who bled 26 tubes !!!). Will divide up tubes for thaw experiment. Gave them the MOON eggs. Later put in 2085 From MOON into next cage - he died overnight (stress?) 21 Apr 1200 Egg 2 recently hatched (RL), egg 3 hatching, eg 4 pipping, egg 5 nothing yet. Nice! Mealworms 1600 Egg 3 hatched, egg 4 still pipping (marked egg tooth), didn't check egg 5. More mealworms. 22 Apr 0600 RL = 6.1, RW = 5.9, LW = 4.65, egg 5 pipping. ♂ 1130 RL = 7.2, RW = 7.4, LW = 5.2, 4.7 = B. Hey, a pass! I removed shells. So... a 24 hour spread, but index >2.5! Should I rethink the 24 hr cutoff. 23 Apr 1330 4 kids, look OK (eggs there). Didn't weigh.
