7 Apr 0830 Nest! In south facing (new) hole in
traditional tree. 3 dirty eggs - hard to say
how Fresh (a bit?). Didn't cut.
21 Ap 1430 Cut hole. 2 Fat r sassies. DB = 24.8,
D = 28.5. No egg.
28 Apr 0845 Unable to stick the Ravi chick (DB + R)
into KOUT ) stick them in here, where they
are much too small (I did bleed them First).
Also set a blind. G 2202, 2203
18 May Walt banded these guys the other day - all 4 Fine.
Veronica watched gran r saw only breeders. No
helpers. Now. last years kids will have to be Unk
8 June 1445 Arrive. No one in any holes but I Figure out
(instinct... r broken branches) which it is. Before
I go up I notice an intact infertile egg on the
ground "under" the nest. I also find a shell
(doesn't look hatched) nearby. I climb r
peep + see 1 opaque egg. I decide not to cut
it open. Probably abandoned.
