1993 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus KOUT HNHR 7 Apr 0920 Hello-nada. Lots of acorns 13 Apr 1445 Eric reports bird in high E Facing hole. I climb, 4 incubated eggs! Now... who's here? 21 Apr 1400 Nice timing. Hatched 2-day (ish). RL = 8.0, LL = 5.3, RW = 5.0, LW = 4.6 28 Apr 0730 Nice timing. Hole contained 1 near death chick (RL). Well Fed but cold. So much for sticking these 2 RAVI kids in... I warm up RL - now he's Fine. I Found no other chick remains below the nest. I saw 1 1221 (LB M) (so I think it was him) Also saw a 3 w LB - maybe a (V) ... prob is 122). Any- way, he didn't sleep w jr last nite. I hear occasional garricks + heard 3 birds together, so this must be a q thing. Well, I again saw 3 birds but I think its 2 88'! I saw 1221 sitting w NOBA 9, so maybe it is a 8 thing. 3 w many tail spots seen (1221 phad) Bled RAVI R=1, B=2. Took to LAZ. 18 May Walt reports eggs in new E-Facing hole in burn snag 2 June 1415 On arrival a bird Flushes From the left hand side of the left hand trunk of the burn snag. There's a hole near there. 8 June 1330 2 birds in tree. A third comes in - chases one of the pair away. Things are still un- settled here I guess. 11 June 1000 Maybe not... Rebecca Finds nest in 93a hole ( ) 24 June 0900 Hole empty!!
