30 Mar Walt set ambush. Eric reports at least 1 in
(28 Mar Roost watch - 3 birds wanted in - only 2 went in.
31 Mar Ambush! See cap recs. Only got 2 birds, but
one was the NOBA 8! (r the BF). Yea! Blood
delayed, but so it goes. Lapped both. & rather
easy: testes large & white, about 8 mm I'd guess.
Female not so easy, I saw some undeveloped
Follicles, but everything looked different than in
the 94 I've been doing at RANT. Things
seemed more spread out: was this enlarged
ovarian tissue? I never did see any gut, but
was afraid to go thru the necessary layer
in case it was indeed ovarian. No large
yolk follicles seen, but I can't say they weren't
just hiding. I'll check her previous wt From
last year at this time (hmm, did they
ever nest last year? I don't think so - was
it due to the lap? When was the lap?
I think it was Fall. 8 had no molt, no tail spots.
Released at 0800. Flew well. No power-struggle.
1 May Eric finds nest in woods tween creek r road

relatively fresh. This is a peep. Didn't cut yet.

(Though the bird Flushed toward Pipe on 31 May. ?
