They seem to be building a new hole here at the base of the broken branch. 1 Apr Eric reports 4 birds into 'trod' nest hole last nite. Walt sets ambush 2-day. Eric watches again. Birds Freaked by ambusher. None in ... except one sat outside hole looking in until past dark. I guess I'll ambush in the am (I'm assuming he eventually went in). 2 Apr Grrrrrrrrr. After not Finding the string For 5 mins, I pull it - it sticks. Out Flies the bird ... then the string gives - closes. I climb the tree to take the ambusher down - Flush 3 birds From the w Facing hole 6 Feet away From the ambush hole! Eric! You said they Flew away! What a shitty (or cold) morning. Now I'll have to wait at least a week to try again. I left the ambusher tied up. Grrrrrr. Alas! I am truly heartsick.
