1993 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus CVGR HVVHR (18 Apr) Roost watch: Sergio sees 3 birds into gran hole 20 Apr Roost watch: Being a nice Fellow, I invite Ron out For a nite-netting. Veronica watches the net. I watch the Fence hole-the snag hole, I tell Ron to chase birds if they show up over toward the saddle. The birds decide to roost in the Fence hole! Great! I'm already anticipating a nice pole ambush... and then... I hear crunch, crunch of Ron's Footsteps approach! Oh no! All the birds take off toward the granary. Damn. Ron!!! One bird hits the net on the way into the granary hole (only one...) Its 2172, a Fall baby, who is now a breeder. He's way tangled, so I bleed him in the net. Stress series, back to lab For lap (4 Fov)→ not greatest view in world. Will release in am. 21 Apr 0600 Released 2172. Roost watch: birds roosted across creek in no- man's land near Murt.
