1993 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus BIm 3 HNHR 14 Apr Roost watch: They do have some acorns here. I'm pretty sure I heard a bird at DKHW, or I definitely heard a bird karritting alot at Kirt. At 1908 Z ACW's flew in fast from the direction of BIm 2 and went into the "woods". They vocalized briefly - presumably roosted there. 30 Apr Report of a bird in tradit hole. 1 May 0900 There are birds at Dark Hollow! 0930 5 Freshish eggs in trad hole (lower)! 3 May Veronica reports 1 or NOBA 9 10 May 1300 Bugger all. Not hatched yet. (no one in hole) 12 May 1715 RL=4.45, LL=3.9, RW=5.5, LW=4.9, last egg was peeping, but not pipping. Bugger all. 13 May 1700 RL=6.6, LL=5.3, RW=7.9, LW=6.5, new guy already hungry - starving = 3.2. I removed For... tissue. These guys aren't growing great 17 May 1530 RW=Mv=21.9, LW=LG=22.3, RL=R=22.8, LL=15.0 - not looking good (very pale, a bit thin, or abdominal hemorrhaging - does it have anything to do with the tiny scab on his belly? 25 May 1300 Down to 3 kids. I gave them each some dog Food, then set or tied off ambusher. 27 May 0700 Set & ready. Nabbed 4 at 0755. Stress series. Band.
