1993 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus 1800 HNHR 3 Apr 1115-1135. Spied From road. Saw 1 Flight into woods. Pretty slow. 1615 Put some acorns on platform & noticed a bird at a nice new hole Facing the lane on the downhill side (or a bit toward 1500) of the granary. 4 Apr 0650-0705 Spy. Saw 1 bird go to new hole 0815 Hello'd new hole - nada. Acorns gone. Gave dog food. 5 Apr 1445 No one in hole. Gave em some acorns or dog food, then watched for 20 min. No visits (r there were birds around). Spied hole-For a while, nada. 16 Apr 0710-0720 Spied on uphill hole. Starlings there. 18 Apr 0830 Hello new hole - nada. 23 Apr Eric reports birds at 2ndary tree hole. 24 Apr Walt checks it - has a screech owl! Hmm 2 May 0800 Bird Flushes From new hole in granary. 1300 Son of a bitch. The entrance goes thru 4+ inches of solid (or living) oak. Worst of all, the hole is incredibly shallow. So cutting this baby will be a bitch. I'll put this off. 4 Fresh eggs 13 May 1500 RW=P=14.9 LL=13.4, RL=R=13.6, r=LWL=3.6 (Freshly hatched). Removed... For tissue 18 May 1315 Set & tied off ambushor. 19 May 0730 Set & ready. Waited For 2115, but I don't think he showed (tho he is very similar to BM). At 1050 I nabbed 1851 for control implant. Paininess. Does 2115 exist?
