1993 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus 1500 HNVHR 2 Apr Saw bird Fly to limb about 1m below trad hole. Checked - it's a new hole 3 Apr 1100-1115. Spied. Saw birds but no action 1620 Bird at traditional hole, put some acorns on the platform. 4 Apr 0705-0715 No visits to holes (saw only 1 bird) 0800 Hello holes - nothing. Acorns gone. Gave dog Food. 5 Apr 1540 Bird at low hole - gave some acorns r dog Food. Watched 30 min - no action 18 Apr 0815 Hello - nada (have been looking From car too) 26 Apr Walt reports bird in trad hole. Hmm ErV have been checking .... 27 Apr Walt reports 4 Fresh eggs in trad hole. 10 May 1130 LL = Mv = 15.7, LW = W = 14.0, RL = 13.3, r = 6.1 runt looks relatively OK ... could've hatched 8 May? or 9 I removed runt for tissue (he's a goner) NO, left in 27 May 1530 Bunded 3 rather skinny kids. The runt is ill: mouth open, gasping, wheezing. Hmmm 31 May 1500 what the hey... I need helpers. I add in the other chick from Kris's ACW nest by the Rana Cork perennial Field (#2283). But the wheezer is gone! Hard to believe they hauled his corpse out. Mv/R = 92g, ch = 76.5; wM = 91g, ch = 82
