1992 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus Misc Groups 15 June Rana Creek II. Arrived at 1400, bird Flushed From the hole. Climbed r peeped. I hatching r eggs. The nest is in a back chamber, not the front one I had peeped. Anyway, I set an ambush r waited For an adult. One came, I pulled string, r it got stuck! I reset it, waited, r Finally another adult showed up, I pulled... stuck! Arrgh! By now its past 1500 and as its a cold windy day, I say To this sh--, climb up, open the nest (it kind of fell apart) and pulled out ) cold baby r 3 cold eggs. I warmed them up a bit in the baby box, then headed home (after holloing holes at Rana I). To the aviary, where I stole their dead eggs r put these in. Let's keep our Fingers crossed! 16 June 0530 I've been seeing ACW's going to the Red House jay platform For days now, r I had assumed it was KNOl birds, but the was a Lewis with them (2) today. There was I chase, but I think it was a KNOl bird vs another ACW. These mystery birds are SHIL I would guess. 10 Aug Rana II: 1630-1715 Spied For Fall nest - nada (though there were birds around) Flights to the trees to W. 1800: Nest! One Fledged while I climbed. Banded the other! Rana: 1725-1745 Spied, Lotsa birds (3 ME = No obvious nestiness. After banding Rana II, I-flashlite the low hole here - a bird!
