KOUT HNHR
2 May 0745 Jim shows me the hole. No one there. Its the
middle hole in the trunk (burned-dead) Facing ARSW.
0845 I check the holes (there are 3 here) The
middle one has mold r is a dead end, the one on
the left is OK; the one on the right is nice -
but I'm not sure whats really up.
1830 Set ambush at right hole (what the heck).
Didn't cut it open tho(since not sure). Shoulda.
4 birds into hole. Ambush tomorrow. Yikes.
3 May Ambush! But not 4 birds - just 2. 1127 (bled
quickly) and a NOBA ♂ (now 2022). Who is this
bird. Are there 99 here at all? I did notice
a NOBA ♂ yesterday eating acorns when the owners
left. Paint: 1127 = pink, 1221 = blue, 2022 = blue
cheeks, yellow Forehead spots
Roosting: Set ambush again (cut the hole open). No
one showed any interest in that tree
6 May 0915 Hello holes - nothing, but lots action at ARSW.
11 May 0900 Hello holes - ..
1015-1050 Spy. Bird to high hole in the big Valley oak
toward AI FAAR KOUT Summit. 1100 Get string up,
get rope up, climb - it's a bluebird nest (4 eggs)
The hole right below it is empty a dirty (not in
nest mode). Damn.
17 May 0730-0800 Try nest spying, but they're too interested
in the power struggle at FAAR. So am I. I do
see 1127, 1221, NOBA ♂, ♂ NOID
