Is that KOUT birds at FAAR 15 Apr 0755 Saw & MO an unidentified 9 at FAAR 0845-0900 Spid.(KOUT) Bird went to a hole start in dead tree (I noticed lotsa chips on the ground in this area earlier this am). Didn't stay long. Saw 3 birds. At end 2 move Flew up (From FAAR but appeared to be chased toward ARSW). However, even after this I heard birds at FAAR. 0905-1000: FAAR watch. A 8 lives here K-WC/TO There's a Flicker nest building in a new low hole in the Fennel tree (Faces vavine). 9 ACW MO went to the high "nest tree" hole twice. 18 Apr Checked Holes w Flashlight - nada (I hello'd before dusk) 19 Apr 0800 hello'd holes - nada. There's weirdness in the FAAR-KOUT area. Just intruders. 22 Apr Ambush! Jim said he saw 3 birds go in, but after 5 hours we gave up on trying to get the 3rd bird. Got 1127 & 1221 (who wasn't on Field list) I'm not sure there was a 3rd Bird - I poked around w sticks, let it sit 2 hours while intruders were in the tree (not for 2 hours) and finally tried smoking them out.
