dead tree (I noticed lotsa chips on the ground
in this area earlier this am). Didn't stay long. Saw
3 birds. At end 2 move Flew up (From FAAR
but appeared to be chased toward ARSW). However,
even after this I heard birds at FAAR.

There's a Flicker nest building in a new low hole in
the Fennel tree (Faces vavine). 9 ACW MO went
to the high "nest tree" hole twice.
18 Apr Checked Holes w Flashlight - nada (I hello'd before dusk)
19 Apr 0800 hello'd holes - nada. There's weirdness in
the FAAR-KOUT area. Just intruders.
22 Apr Ambush! Jim said he saw 3 birds go in, but after
5 hours we gave up on trying to get the 3rd
bird. Got 1127 & 1221 (who wasn't on Field list)
I'm not sure there was a 3rd Bird - I poked
around w sticks, let it sit 2 hours while intruders
were in the tree (not for 2 hours) and finally
tried smoking them out. No go. A shitty day.
Oh yes, the bands on these are now: (I changed...)
