Stanback M. formicivorus BKOK H/NHR 14 Apr Roost watching at A1 I hear birds at BKOK 15 Apr 0900 No action here when I stop by 19 Apr 0950-1010 I spy From uphill, get & DD 1030-1100 Watched From BKOK proper. Saw a NOBA ♂ in residence (involved in some chasing). Also saw ♀ L&.W/DG: and ♂ W-R/M: ♀ was seen w NOBA ♂ (maybe shes RWYM 4 June 1400 DB=48 (13.7) =31 (13.3) 8 June Damn, Val reports that no one Fed this morning. Damn. Methinks cutting a hole and setting an ambush should be done in 2 steps, not one. 10 June 1000 Put up a platform w/o Food. 6 Aug 1030-1055 Spied on nest limb From Lamb, saw only 1 bird or it did not go to hole (though it did land about 10 Ft away) 1200 Hellod holes - nada. And there's not much in the way of acorns (there's alot of aborted live oak acorns) 5 Sept 0800 Arrived hearing several birds. Saw ♂ 1190 but also a ♂ (looked or sounded like a juv) OKM: OLG. Some chasing, but don't know who involved. Later saw NOBA ♂ (juv) sitting in same tree as 1190. No ♀ seen. (Also hellod holes on 4 Sept - nada) 8 Sept 0800 Hello - nada. Spied 15 min - nada. Still have Food. 11 Sept Hello holes - nada. Counted acorns - it sux up here, and they're already storing. No nest?
