H. M. Wetherbee Collection.
This Collection was the result of an
arrangement made with Mr. H. M. Wetherbee,
Kenai, Alaska, on July 26, 1906, for the
purchase of skulls that might be brought
in by hunters and trappers. The following
writer. Mr. Wetherbee was then manager
of a Cannery at Kenai, owned the store
at Kenai and traded to a considerable extent
in furs. The negotiations for skulls was
carried on through a Mr. William Hunter,
who had charge of Mr. Wetherbee's store,
and was also Postmaster of Kenai.
He is responsible for all the data referable
to the different skulls.
