Lyford Road Section #1 FAIM-1B-163 Partial section, base on siltstone s.l.b. in bottom of draw just N lone tree. A 4.2 Argillaceous siltstone, dark gray thin irreg.-bedded, loc x bed, slabby with few shaly breaks. Slightly calcareous B 3.9 Obscured, includes shaly siltsta, silty shale and some platy siltstone in thin beds C 1.0 Ledge chlc siltstone, thin beds loczl slabby conc. Fe, brown worth. D 13.8 Argillaceous siltstone, lower 3.5 chlc, as in A, above this more shaly, crumbly on slope with harder bed, chlc, brown worth 7.0 above base and at top, each +/- 1.0. E 46.0 Obscured. In basal 10 ft, above this crumbly argill. siltstone, locally a few crumbly ledges of more silty stuff. Progressively more silty in upper 25', last 6' is sandy- of fine, silty argill. ss with weak blocky to conch. wethz blocks. Whole is grzy to dk-gray. Bentorites - on 1/8
