Q 55.0 Sandstone, massive to tabular (chiefly at top) x.12m. SS.; fine grained except near base where mod. & coarse come in. Lower 12' massive x-bed, coarser to mod., basal 1' is cgl. (see spec. Disconformity R1 15.0 Argillaceous siltstone & siltstone, massive. Weath. lite gray & white with pink zone 5' above base. Capped with .8 ferrous, ochre siltsta. S. 4.1 Sandstone, massive bed fine gr.x1/2m weaths light yellow-gray T. 24.0 Obscured by slope wash, contains silty variegated clzystone, wash of red & white clay. Red zone in upper 5'. From 4 to 10 ft above base is SS ledge, similar to that in S. U. 48.0 Sandstone, massive crossbedded, brick red weath fine mod to coarse caplic throughout (chert pobbles) In upper 2' mottled purple-red-yellow zone, also similar coloring in more or less fine gr. SS basal 4' This SS grades into purple argillitic, hard, siltstone & silty argillite. Base of cgl beds on rel flat Fe stained surface top this 4' finessed! 11.
