HANDY DITCH Dry Creek Section. Starts at top of Dakota, Cretous transition zone just above, 16.0 20. Fine gr. to red thin beds. bedding varing x-bed'd layers 3' slightly argill albite & rarely saltehs base'd clay shale. 13.7 20. Fine gr. hand measure in upper part x-bed to unleg bed becoming more argill downward, grades into mud below. Bank grey to gray with plant remains in lower 4' 20.0 visible & yes, argill, mucky beds a few thin layers see in upper 4' concretary zone 3'-4' -have loose layer of this section is very sandy clayish to argill too may be found at base which is obscured. DAK GLEN 5.4 obscured, ponds, shell, gravel sand 8.6 siltsh, argill & alkly shale. Few thin hand beds upper part, rest clay ehty, with bone remains of siltsh.
