Fine to coarse with many zones chert pebble cgl in basal part. 25', 2 3/4 zone of interformational cgl with coarse ss on top of this, above this goes from coarse to mud to fine upward, with thick local lenses coming in below next interval. The measurement given here represents a maximum thickness. Discont. .4 Bentonite cl .8 Platy siltstone - Lower clay bed of upper clay unit in Glencrion. Helmer's mine is in the upper Glencairn clay. Ridge supported by excessively thick ss below upper clay. Clay bed averages about 9' thick and has sandy zone in middle. 39
