Colorado 115 section at Dakota hogback betw. Turkey & Rock creeks.. Section pieced from outcrops along ridges N+S of road as well as along road cut. NW side of rd on bluff - partial section (Not used in charts) 11.8 Irryq interbedded siltstone and argillaceous siltstone, and fine-grained sandstone. SS predominates in upper 7.0, below this beds progressively more argillaceous + some pts of silty clay. 3.0 Shyly argillaceous siltstone and some silty shale, chk grzy to browngray with thin interbeds siltstone & fines. 4.6 Obscured by wash, due to weathered surface, shows a dk gray highly silty shale with yellowt + orange Fe stains. -NOTE- may be small fault here or just weathering along fracture plain. 1.7 Dk gray plastic clay, finely slightly silty, with Lingula. 26
