Canon City - Skyline hogback - Section
Starting near base Dakota hogback at the Fe
impregnated cap on massive ss at base of the
[illegible] transition zone. The T zone here has massive
sandy beds in with thin platy siltstone + shale.
Section just to SE of where DCC member comes in.
82 sandstone, massive, cross bedded cross
lam., fine to medium grained, weathers
light gray and buff. Measurement approx,
but close.
5.4 Shaly clay with thin zones + lumerzo
siltstone. There latter commonly festened!
.7 Platcy siltstone minor interbedded sh.
silty
includes interbeds - effloresced silty bentonite-like
stuff.
3.0 Platcy jugill siltstuf fines, beds av.
.6, tho basal .6 shaly.
2.6 shale, silty, gray, interlam siltsta.
.5 Sandstone massive, fine gr, buff weath,
rreq.
.6 Shaly siltstu + shale, white efior - ma
indicate beafouitic zone but no good bent.

Note - another outcrop this interior
shows .5 gray shale at top -.5
silty zone with thin interbeds
bentonite in lower .3.
