Goldstein localities South of Perry Park -- G. says lower shales merges with upper -- so he calls it all Muddle! Boulder Morrison area -- Variegated shales always below basal cgl. -- lower shale in this area is black, carbonaceous. For 'excellent exposures' of lower shale do - Dixon Canyon Spring " " Cottonwood " " and near Atkins, Colo. Not recognizable South of Lyons. Says intertongering of red & black shales in Atkins -- Dry Creek area. Says lower shale is included in Glenceron of Colo Spgs area also mid ss which he thinks poops out S of Morrison area,
