Belvue trip - with Knechtel July 26 Stopped at 4-mile section - no bszl Glen cd l. Stw type Lyons, + Jelm(?) and Entrada (?) along St Vrsin Cr. May be section top + bzse "Dakota" in this area, Belvue section of Lee along irrigation ditch. Excellent exposures of most of section, Glucziwn fossils. No bszl cgl see Ditch will be dry by mid. August 27 which time section is det'l. Owl Creek canyon - Poor exposures, no place for section. Box Elder Cr. - Fairly good exposures of upperss part upper Glen, Graybull equiv, bzsl Glen cgl, the Lytle + Morrison - worth 2 section. Spring Canyon dam site - Excellent exposure of zl but lower shaly part Glen above Graybull equiv. Section. Check Dixon & Soldier canyons to north, which have also been dammed.
