MO 563 Plainview section Measured by tape from exposures in railroad Cut of D & RGW beginning about 1200 feet North of the crossing at Plainview, in the NE¼ NE¼ sec 12, T2S, R.71 W, Jefferson Co. Colorado. was 41' 17.0 Interbedded fine ss siltitey with pbbstce f clay, jelly to to 20' slowly minor good beds. ss in thin beds .6 + 16.0 Sandstone, medium to fine grained, in massive beds .2 to 4.0. In Upper 5' more massive x 1cm. Below this beds thinner with finer grain locally siltstoue. + Shelly parting progressively more plentiful down ward. Bedding surfaces of the lower part are full of worm casts? Bedding surfaces of most of interval are ripple marked. R=521 .2 to .6 is life gray very plastic clay with thin interbeds ss [sample 1] This is same type cley as interbedded with ss in lower part of this interval. ss in upper 5 to 11 ft weather buff to orange brown. Lower thin beded part into gray weath. brick off 24.0 Sandstone massive x bedded medium grained x 1cm. weatherous red-brown, ridge maker. 51
