However, they're battling it out with a pair of ATFC (ash thr) who are interested in starling box 53. So I took down the box. 24 Apr 1940 Bird in Y 87a hole (the dark snag hole) but it could just have been roosting in this shitty weather Or maybe even a starling. 28 Apr 0755-0825 Spied. Nada. These guys are garrickly + drumming some, still weirdness w Y I suppose. I had heard (yesterday) birds at Gate Field Ravine, but no one there when I hello'd. Starlings are again in the new hole in the sycamore. Knol birds are spending lots of time in the sycamore across From Y. 30 Ap 0715-0740 Spy. Didn't get alot. Weirdness. At one point 2 birds flew to MOON. Agitation. At another point 7 birds sat in the top of Walt's pine. This is odd since there are only 5 birds in the group. A turnovers? Why would that cause 1350 to want to rejoin Y. 3 May 0730-0745 Spy, nothing but intrusions at Y 5 May 1230-1300 Spy, nothing but activity at granary. I've done roast watches too, but still nothing. Starlings. 2 Jun pm ID'd # 1301 here Roost watch: 4 birds into Y 87 hole. So where's #5 ? July Busy - we've caught, radio'd, + bled lots here
