I flushed him - he left carrying a small item (Bbb chick ?). - Red house W. Flycatchers lay 1st egg of 2nd clutch 0436 As I leave the barn area I hear a baby ACW screaming. Cooper's hawk flew off with it (see Y notes) * As I leave again, I notice ground squirrels going nuts. Badger! He trots about 50 m uphill toward the lone oak N of the barn. At the oak he disappears. When I first noticed, there were >6 ground squirrels standing together meerkat style under that oak. They all went under on his approach.
