1989 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus PLQE HNHR 13 Oct Ambush! Caught 5 birds in nest hole (973, 1530, 1403, 1731, 1732) and 1 bird (1529) in the bridge hole. Bled 1731, 1732, 1529. Put 2 10mm testosterone implants into 1403. 19 Oct Ambushed nest hole + high hole, but caught only 1730. Earthquake last night must have scared them out of the holes (I was after 1442) 27 Oct Caught 1729 28 Oct Suzanne Finds radio & feathers of 1442. RIP - must've been a coopers hawk. 30 Oct Ambushed the road hole in the nest tree with the new pole ambusher. Caught 1529 (wt 68), 1730 (75), and 1732 (78). All having been caught recently, I didn't bleed any of them. 3 Nov Ambush in nest hole: 1733. See cap rec. After 2 weeks of ambushing, these guys have headed towards PLAN - are enlarging a hole by Griffin's office. I climbed it yesterday, but its paper thin.
