1989 M. Stanback M. Formicivorus Aviary HNHR put in some chips, the eggs, and crossed my Fingers. 3 Jun 0700 Shit, nest empty. I found an undamaged and a punctured egg in the infamous food log. Another egg was completely eaten on the side wall, no sign of the other two. I put the OK one in the incubator. Damn, I should've 1) put in dummy eggs to see if they would abandon, 2) even more important, I should've filmed it. So now I'm doing both. 4 June They're excavating a pit in the plaster - wow. 7 June pm Pit has been deepened some more (not as round or even as it was - but no eggs). 11 June 1600 Hole has been deepened more (more irregular). No eggs. The egg I saved & put into the incubator has hatched. (I was gone) They Fed it etc but it died after 1 day. sat 17 June 0800 3 eggs! 2 look infertile (didn't pull 'em out) 18 June 4 eggs 19 June 1200 4 eggs: 3 infertile (?) has been punctured and contents drained (hence the one egg 'looking' Fertile) 20 June Not infertile, but I discover this after putting 2 CVZ kids in. However, they've 1 July 1700 R 80 18.88 22 44.5 19 32 71 - 66 18.5 16.5 31.5 13 21.5 55 added the smaller baby from CVZ. 4 July 1430 Bled Ptery or Petra. (1) = 55 56.5, 56, 57, 56 (2) = 60.5, 60, 61, 60, 59, 60. each bird had a broken tube - way have gotten mixed up 25 Sept B submits (?)
